Description

ECODryBlock

Modular, digital, and precise dry block heater designed for sample preparation, incubation, DNA denaturation, enzymatic reactions, culture media tests, and COD analysis.

ECODryBlock is a modular dry block heater for precise heating of samples, supporting a wide range of applications in Life Science laboratories:

- Incubation and sample preparation – including DNA/RNA extraction and purification, enzymatic reactions, and activation of cell cultures.

- Denaturation and assay preparation – DNA and protein denaturation, SDS-PAGE sample preparation, serum studies, immunoassays, and clinical tests such as coagulation and blood-urea-nitrogen determinations, as well as in situ hybridizations.

Physical and chemical studies – melting and boiling point determination, culture media tests, and other analytical protocols.

Thanks to its extended temperature range up to 165?°C, the ECODryBlock can also be employed by environmental laboratories to measure the Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) in water samples.

Operating the ECODryBlock is simple and precise thanks to the 7-inch capacitive touch ControlPad, featuring a chemical-resistant glass surface.

Users can easily set independent timers and temperatures for each Module, with a resolution of 0.5 °C. The transparent cover creates a warm air jacket around the blocks, providing full air coverage that minimizes heat loss and temperature stratification, ensuring exceptional stability and uniformity.

Combined with a digital interface for accurate control and easy monitoring, it guarantees repeatable and reliable results across every application.

For direct monitoring and control of the sample temperature, external probes (Pt100 and Pt1000) provide precise measurement and regulation within the sample vessel.

With ECODryBlock, you decide how to work. Thanks to its modular design, one ControlPad can manage up to two heating Modules, each with space for two aluminum blocks (95x76x51 mm). This configuration allows you to set different temperatures on each Module, effectively working as two dry baths in one.

Velp's dry block heater offers maximum versatility with a wide range of interchangeable and easy-to-clean aluminum blocks, designed to accommodate vials, microcentrifuge tubes, PCR tubes, PCR strips, Greiner tubes, microplates, and cuvettes.

See the accessory tab to find the right configuration for your lab workflow!

A complete range of additional accessories enhances usability, including a block lifter for safe and easy removal of hot blocks.

Wireless connection keeps the bench organized, while the compact design saves valuable space and adapts to evolving laboratory needs.
